On Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14,
Historic Old Town Hall will be transformed by the arrival of art, floral designs and hundreds of examples of beautiful blooms, buds and branches from local gardens for the Wilton Garden Club’s flower show Art in Bloom. Twenty-eight spectacular flower arrangements, inspired by the work of seven local artists, will be a highlight of the show. Not only will historic Old Town Hall be filled with floral arrangements, horticultural examples, educational displays, botanical arts, and youth projects, but the surrounding gardens and landscape will be brimming with beauty and interest, as well. Adding to the experience – a coffee bar! Admission $10.
The work of seven local artists serves as inspiration for the floral designs. The artists include Jack Disbrow, Leslie Giuliani, Daryl Hawk, Drew Klotz, Julie Leff, John Maurer, and Toby Michaels, ranging in style from abstract to realistic, in mediums which include sculpture, oil on canvas, collage, Encaustiflex and photography.
All Divisions will be primarily staged inside Old Town Hall, including recently modernized kitchen. The gardens and outside area of Old Town Hall will also be utilized. The hospitality for the judges will take place at the Wilton Congregational Church.
